Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, was founded to leverage funds and support for the arts and arts education statewide.  The Foundation is led by a Board of Directors and professional staff.

The Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Ohio Arts Council, present the annual Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon.  Since its beginning in 1971, the Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio has recognized individuals and organizations who have been vital to the growth and development of Ohio's cultural resources. The Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon evolved from the Ohio Arts Council's Governor's Awards for the Arts ceremony and Ohio Arts Day, coordinated by Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation, a non-profit arts advocacy organization. For more information for this year's awards click here.

We would like to invite you to become a Table Sponsor at one of Ohio’s most prestigious, best-attended statewide arts events, the Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon.   A table is just $1,000 (with $500 being tax deductible) and includes ten seats.  We are happy to assist you in registering all of your guests to save you an on-line step in the registration process. Your sponsorship will be recognized at the luncheon on event signage and will be featured in the program.  The Arts Day Luncheon has been a sellout event in past years so you’ll want to reserve your table as early as possible. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a table sponsor of this exciting event.  To confirm your sponsorship, simply contact Janelle or Donna at 614.221.4064.

Ohio Citizens for the Arts will celebrate the life and legacy of arts advocacy to honor our founder William R. Joseph through an annual award beginning in 2014.

The William R. Joseph Ohio Arts Advocacy Medal will be given annually as part of the Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon. Ohio Citizens for the Arts’ members (individuals and organizational members) may make nominations now through February 28, 2014. Download the application to nominate someone for the Ohio Arts Advocacy Medal.
